The Rolling Stones started out in the 1960s as a cover band with Mick Jagger as the lead man. In 1964 Mick Jagger and Keith Richards started songwriting and a couple of years later The Rolling Stones had become a huge rock band. With Jaggers alleged involvement with drugs and woman he was always in the headlines. In 1970 the group created Rolling Stones Records label which was to become one of the biggest in history. Mick Jagger was knighted in 2003
